The village is spread at the bank of the river Iskar, running towards the Danube. It is a well organized one and will be very close to the future highway connecting Sofia-Pleven-Ruse and then Romania. The border to Romania is just 35 minutes away. The area is popular for fishing, hunting and rural tourism.

The town Pleven is situated in the central part of the Danubian plain (North-Central Bulgaria), past the Vit River. It is a regional administrative center of Pleven District. It is one of the most ecologically clean cities in Bulgaria. A green zone of 25 000 decares is surrounding Pleven, including parks and forests, which serve as a filter against the air pollution. The today`s town occurred close to an old Thracian Roman village, called Storgozia, which was built, in the Kailaka area.
Pleven has a rich history. It became widely known during the Liberation war (1878). Interesting to the visitors of the town are the Kailak fortress, the tumulus in the Skobelev park, the Pleven Epopee Panoramic Exhibition, the old bridge on the Vit river, many monuments. The beautiful area of Kailaka is close to Pleven.
The most remarkable place in the city is the Pleven Epic 1877 Panorama, situated at the top of the hill. It is an original combination of artistic paintings, sculpture, and authentic articles and is announced worldwide as a unique place of culture.

About the Region of Pleven

Pleven city is situated in the middle of the Danube plain on the two banks of the Tuchenishka River and the Grivishka River. It has about 140 000 residents and is at a distance of 170 km from the Capital Sofia. One can go to Pleven by train or by bus. The city is important road and railway junction connecting Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Rousse.
Pleven has a thousand ages- long history. It has been inhabited since the Thracian times– in the area, called Kailaka existed a village, bearing the name of Storgozia. In 13th century the town was restored and was a fortress and the Slavs gave its present name. The Ottoman invaders destroyed the city and killed most of its inhabitants because of their disobedience. In the 17th and 18th centuries the Bulgarian population gradually increased. Pleven became a centre of the traditional Bulgarian crafts and the trade with fur, wool, tobacco and livestock. The richest Bulgarians` donations helped the construction of schools and churches. The great Bulgarian fighter for liberty Vassil Levski founded the first for the country revolutionary committee in Pleven.

During the Liberation war the city a centre of the most bloodshed battles between the Russian and the Turkish arms. The city focused the attention of the whole world, being besieged for 5 months. On December 10th 1877 the army of Osman Pasha was defeated and the city was emancipated. After the Liberation the grateful Bulgarian people, bowing to the heroes of the Pleven Epic, erected numerous monuments in recognition.

The city gradually revived and became an important transport, trade and agricultural center. Its residents had different nationalities – Bulgarians, Turks, Greeks, Armenians and Jews. Most numerous were the Christians that built several churches. One of the most famous is the "St Nikolay" church, built in 1834. Very interesting are the iconostasis made by masters from Tryavna, and the exposition of icons made by the artist Dimitar Zograf. Open for visitors are the churches St. Troytsa (The Holy Trinity) and St. Paraskeva. In the City Historical museum is presented the entire history of the area from ancient times to nowadays.

The "Kailaka" park with its ponds, bridges and beautiful spots is a perfect place for relaxation and entertainment, both for locals and the tourists .
