Velingrad is also proud with the largest limestone spring in Bulgaria, called 'Kleptouza', with 570 litres of ice- cold water gushing out to the surface every second, asuch forming two lakes.

Very close to the city is the Belmeken dam lake, conducive for water sports and fishing.
A center of folklore festivals, Dorkovo village is 12 km of Velingrad. Remains of vertebrates, dating back to 4 -5 million years ago, have been discovered near the village.
The 1200 m long Lepenitsa cave, and the Mantarnitsa reserve are located southwest of the town.

The town of Pazardjik is 205 meters above the sea level. It’s situated at the distance of 114km south – east of Sofia, at the distance of 36km west of Plovdiv, at the distance of 20km north of Peshtera and at the distance of 43km south of Panagyurishte. The town is a regional center.
The municipality disposes of well developed bus and railway connections with the remaining part of the country. It is situated on the most loaded motorway Sofia – Plovdiv. Pazardjik has regular bus lines to Sofia, Plovdiv, Velingrad, Panagyurishte and to the smaller settlements in the region. The bus station (+359 34/26315) is situated in the central part of Pazardjik, at 6 “Georgi Benkovski”str. The railway station (+359 34/26520) is in the southern part of the town.
