А Winery is for sale, situated in Vidin district. City of Vidin is the administrative centre of North-West Bulgaria. Danube river port and Customs, railway station, autotransport links, cross border points, currently existing ferry boat connection between Bulgaria and Romania and the second bridge over the Danube which is currently being prepared for construction between Vidin and Kalafat (Romania) are excellent preconditions for good transport connections with the countries of the European Union, Russia and all other former Soviet Republics.
The property is situated on 36.675 m? land, on which buildings with a total surface of 7.936 m? are built.
The buildings include:
• A two storied administrative building on 430 m?
• A building for bottling with adjacent loading ramp and warehouse on a total of 850 m?
• The main fermentation building on 1200 m?
• The wine cellar for the ageing of wines on 2050 m?
• An own laboratory on 100 m?
• A section for thermo treatment on 300 m?

Production Equipment/ Production Process:
The production process for wines comprises of 2 buildings- one for the fermentation and one for the ageing. In the wine cellar, where the wines age, are situated the laboratory and the section for thermal treatment. The production process is developed not only for red wines, but for white wines as well. Especially for the production of white wines, the winery has purchased brand new cooling and fermentation temperature control equipment from Italy.
The wine vessels are built of steel/concrete, coated with special synthetic resin.
The winery owns four universal vivificates coated on the inside.
The total vessel volume of the winery is 3 600 000 liters.
In the grape brandy distillery are situated 2 distillation systems, vessel capacity and a steam generator. After a full modernization of the equipment of the distillery in September 2005 (concerning steam generator, water treatment station and distillation system), the distillery correspond with all standards for the production of grape brandy and other distillates.
In the period 2004-2005 the winery was fully modernized and refurbished.
Winery is in the process of creating of 500 000 m? of own vineyards. The first 70 000 m? of land are already purchased. In a range of 18 km there are private and cooperative vineyards on a territory of about 14 500 m? of the varietals Gamza (except for the region around the city of Pavlikeni, this is the only Gamza region in Bulgaria), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pamid and other red varietals. The white varietals include Muscat Ottonel (vineyards of this size are only to be found here and in the Black Sea region), Aligote (the only vineyards of this type in Bulgaria), Rakazitelli, Sauvignon Blanc, Misket, Chardonnay and others.
The vineyards lie on hills above the Danube, heading south and southeast 100-150m above sea level. The climate is very suitable for wine growing- with humid springs, dry summers and moderate winters with snow. The average vegetative temperature exceeds 4000?C.
The soil is light, brown-black, with sand, rich in minerals and limestone
The region is famous and worldwide known as “Golden corn” - the most arable part of Danube valley.
As of present date, the winery is the most modern one in North-West Bulgaria, and it corresponds with the standards and regulations of the EU.

About the City/Town/Village of Vidin

The town is situated at 199 km north-west of Sofia, on the right bank of Dunabe it is linked with Kalafat town (in Romania) by a ferry. A major factor making the city a resort is the availability of mineral water.
Vidin is one of the oldest towns along the Bulgarian Danube bank. It appears as the Roman fortress of Bononia on the foundations of a Thracian settlement. During the First Bulgarian Kingdom it is known as Budin (Bdin). Bishop`s centre. During the Second Bulgarian Kingdom it is a strong fortress and after 1371 a capital of the Vidin Kingdom under Tsar Ivan Sratsimir.
To this day the following sites have been preserved: Baba Vida fortress, built in the 9th-10th centuries on the ruins of a Roman fortress (rebuilt many times, its present appearance dating back to the 18th C.), the Turkish konak (the second half of the 18th C.), the mosque and library of Osman Nuri Pasha, the cruciform barracks of 1798, old Renaissance buildings, a synagogue
The town is a starting point for excursions along the Danube.
