The village lies at altitude of 1400 m. It is 16 km far from the top spa resort of Velingrad and some 55 km from the sea resort of Bansko. The area is stunning with excellent conditions for skiing, fishing, hunting and hiking. Many tourist routes begin from the village.

Velingrad is situated in the West Rhodope Mountains, on the Chepin hollow. The town stands 800 meters above sea level and is bordered by the hills of Alabak and Karkaria. The population is about 26500 people. Velingrad is situated 80km away from Plovdiv and 120km away from Sofia. The town has access to railway lines, and two railway stations in the residential quarters - Chepino and Lushdene.
Velingrad is a balneological and atmospheric resort. The town ranks first in Bulgaria in of mineral water abundance and variety. The water temperature is between 28 °C and 86 °C. Some of the thermal deposits are: Lushdene-1, Lushdene-2, Chepino, Draginovo, Kamenitsa and Varvaski bani. Winter is warm and summer is cool.
There are several mineral bathrooms and numerous swimming pools with beaches.
Velingrad is also proud with the largest limestone spring in Bulgaria, called 'Kleptouza', with 570 litres of ice- cold water gushing out to the surface every second, asuch forming two lakes.
Tourists can visit also the Historical museum, the Art gallery, etc.
Very close to the city is the Belmeken dam lake, conducive for water sports and fishing.
A center of folklore festivals, Dorkovo village is 12 km of Velingrad. Remains of vertebrates, dating back to 4 -5 million years ago, have been discovered near the village.
The 1200 m long Lepenitsa cave, and the Mantarnitsa reserve are located southwest of the town.
Hotels, holiday houses, lodgings and restaurants offer great conditions for a perfect vacation.

The town of Pazardjik is 205 meters above the sea level. It’s situated at the distance of 114km south – east of Sofia, at the distance of 36km west of Plovdiv, at the distance of 20km north of Peshtera and at the distance of 43km south of Panagyurishte. The town is a regional center.
The municipality disposes of well developed bus and railway connections with the remaining part of the country. It is situated on the most loaded motorway Sofia – Plovdiv. Pazardjik has regular bus lines to Sofia, Plovdiv, Velingrad, Panagyurishte and to the smaller settlements in the region. The bus station (+359 34/26315) is situated in the central part of Pazardjik, at 6 “Georgi Benkovski”str. The railway station (+359 34/26520) is in the southern part of the town.
